Sport Bike Riding Tips
Sport bikes are made with adrenaline junkies in mind. These high performing motorcycles offer a thrilling riding experience complete with high speeds and tight turns. Make your next ride more fun (and safer) with the following riding tips.
Use the Right Riding Position
Many other motorcycles utilize an upright or leaning back riding position.
Not so with sport bikes.
Instead, you'll want to crouch down and bring your legs up. This helps keep your center of gravity low and helps boost your aerodynamics, leading to a more exciting ride.
Be Careful With Accelerating
Speed is a strong suit of sport bikes. If you aren't used to this intensity of acceleration, however, it can easily catch you off guard. Be careful when twisting the throttle and focus on starting off at a slower pace, making sure not to rev the engine too hard!
If it feels like you are going too fast, engage the clutch or gradually release the throttle.
Be Careful With Turns
When you first start riding, be cautious in how tight of turns you take. You don't want to lose control and slide out! It can be helpful to do some test rides in an empty parking lot and get a sense for its turning radius before hitting the highway or racetrack.
